Effigy of deceased head hunter made from painted wood and hair. The carving is in the form of a head painted orange, with an unpainted pointed element below presumably to insert into the ground. Pupils, eyebrows, moustache and mouth are delineated in black, with a pattern of tattoo marks also in black. A tuft of hair, dyed red, to either side and a double projecting finial at the top.

The crest at the top represents the beak of a hornbill. The dots indicating tattooing are typical Konyak.
