Taxidermy case of adult male Mediterranean Gull. According to Edward Hart, writing on 6 May 1927, '(No 1): adult male, July 17th 1915, summer plumage. Shot by J. Talfrey in Rye Harbour. A single specimen in immature plumage was obtained at Barking Creek, January 1866, which I believe is the only other example taken in Great Britain. Recorded in the E. Sussex Natural History Proceedings by J. E. Harting, vol.11. page 207. Sexes alike. Summer and winter plumage differ. Not known by whom mounted'.
