One of a set of paintings depicting scenes of Manipuri ceremonies and Manipuris. On the left are a number of white-robed musicians seated in front of a larger group of white-robed seated figures. In the left foreground is a group of dancers in colourful costume brandishing staffs and confronting a figure dressed in the costume of a white bird with a yellow beak. To the right the lead dancer battles with a figure in a fur costume and buffalo mask. Another figure in a fur costume and more athropomorphic mask is behind.
