Monguor (Tu) woman’s dress ornament. Pinned over breast and amulet. Formed of rectangular strip of black cloth with three square panels made of black fabric decorated with stain stitch embroidered floral motifs chiefly in greens and pinks with some yellow stitched to the backing cloth at the corners. Each panel has an embroidered white dentate border. Below the panels is a plain section of black fabric. Above the three panels is a section of pink damask and above this a smaller strip of pale green damask. On this panel is a button and a loop above; from the button hangs a bell-shaped element made of two sides of embroidered fabric, one blue and one pink, from which emerges a similar shaped padded element of red fabric, with a yellow tassle hanging from it below two beads.
